Château de Mauvanne is situated in the southeast corner of the Côtes de Provence, appellation that extends along the Mediterranean coast from Fréjus to Hyères. This enviable location built on an ancient soil which contains a mixture of rocks from the Maures and Estérel mountain ranges, provides the vineyards a unique climate that has made this area particularly well adapted to growing grapes.
Château de Mauvanne avoids all chemical fertilizers and herbicides. In addition, the domain limits its yields by harvesting early.
It grows a large range of grape varietals. For its red and rosé wines, the varietals include from Grenache to Syrah, Cinsault, Mourvèdre, Tibouren, Carignan and Cabernet-Sauvignon. For its whites, Rolle, Ugni-Blanc and Clairette are the varietals of choice.
