On the other side of the village, a splendid view of the bay of Cavalaire and the Golden Isles can be seen.
Gassin is a village renowned for its old stones, quality restaurants, peace and charm.

1. The medieval village
The Gassinois settled on this rocky outcrop around the 11th century. The village grew up around a fortified tower on rue de la Tasco. The Passage du Guet and the Porte des Sarrazins are emblematic features of the village’s historic center and heritage, which also includes a 16th-century church, typical wells and remarkable gateways.
The rural heritage is also worth seeing, including the Notre-Dame-de-la-Compassion chapel, the restored sheepfold, the Arlatane washhouses, the Brûlat mill and the enigmatic monument to Saint-Joseph.
2. L’Androuno
Gassin has the narrowest street in the world! It’s a must for all visitors…

3. Wineries
The presence of dozens of hectares of vines around the village is a defining feature of the Gassin landscape, which can be admired from the roof terrace.
Gassin’s ten wineries invite you to taste their wines, discover their cellars and take home a typical local souvenir.
The Château Minutyone of Provence’s 18 crûs classés, is an important stop on the Gassin wine trail. Nearby is Château Barbeyrolleswhose vines are all organically farmed and which pioneered the development of light rosés. Two other estates are also “AB” certified: the château de Chausseon the road to La Croix-Valmer and the domaine du Bourrian. The estates of Bertaud-Belieu and La Rouillère export all over the world. The Tropez estate was created by Gassinois at the end of the 20th century. Visit Cap Saint-Pierre is also a family estate; the winery is located just before the entrance to Saint-Tropez. Finally, the Maîtres Vignerons de la Presqu’îlein the direction of Cogolin, offer an assortment of wines created in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez.
Gassin is home to other local producers, including an olive grower, Domaine de Val de Bois, and a Maison des Confitures.
4. L’Hardy garden and rose garden
Two gardens plunge you into soothing worlds. In the village, the L’Hardy garden, classified as remarkable since 2009, is home to several hundred Mediterranean species. On the plain, the Jardin de Gassin rose garden offers a zen-like world of old roses, with regular events including lectures and concerts.
