La Bravade Saint Clément

The Bravade de Saint-Clément is an old tradition in the village of La Garde-Freinet. The patron saint of the parish, Saint-Clément, is celebrated every year to commemorate the transfer of the saint's relics to the church in La Garde-Freinet.

From Saturday 3 to Sunday 4 May 2025.

Saturday May 3rd:
With the participation of the fife and drum band
4:00 pm: Opening of the 42nd bravade - Place de la Mairie
5:30pm: Ceremony at the Saint Clément stele
6:00 pm: Mass at Chapelle St-Clémént

Sunday May 4th:
8:30am: Place de la Mairie - Departure of the procession following St-Clément through the old village
9:45am: Official welcome by N-D de Miremer & blessing
10:30am: Bravadeurs' high mass, with Escandihado
11:30am: Provencal dances - Salutes to the authorities, followed by an aperitif offered to the public.
