Les Trois Pins

( Natural wonder - Forest )

Les Trois Pins is a collection of three remarkable umbrella pines in the middle of RD 559. They have somehow "succeeded" to the Pin de Bertaud, which was opposite the Château Bertaud, on the road linking La Foux to Saint-Tropez.

All year round.

The Three Pines are among the representatives of an important pine forest which was in La Foux. This tree being fragile, the pine forest was impacted by time, diseases, urbanization of this sector of Gassin. The fortunes and misfortunes of history have also contributed to this phenomenon: the forest was cleared during the Second World War to prevent a possible landing. It was then bombed.
Despite this, the umbrella pines remain emblematic of this heart of the peninsula. They are found from the Bourrian estate and the Gassin Marines to the Azur Park and the Jauffret campsite.
