Exhibition of paintings and stains by self-taught, multidisciplinary artist Moustapha Maïga, known as MOUSS. A selection of unique works, ranging from figurative to abstract, with the main focus on the theme of sound.

An artist who has won numerous awards at competitions and shows in France and abroad, and who has been exhibiting internationally for over 30 years.

Through his canvases and dyes, Mouss tells us about his observations and his deep sense of life - the visible and the invisible. He paints sound. He seeks to "tame matter - magma" and "capture light".

With a career in art spanning over 30 years, MOUSS is constantly pushing the limits of his creativity, always seeking new sensations, approaches and techniques.

Mouss prepares his own palette and color baths with natural pigments and plant preparations (including harvesting and preparation), using linseed oil and occasionally acrylics. He paints with his fingers, sometimes with both left and right hands, sometimes holding several brushes simultaneously. He works on cotton (preferably of Burkinabé origin, hand-woven), linen and wood.

The main works presented for this exhibition reveal his visceral sense of the nature of sound, rhythm and melody, amplified by a deep, subtle color palette. His work is so multi-sensory, you could say he has six or even seven senses. When you look at his paintings, you can't help but feel the artist's warm, communicative spirit.
