Summer theatre festival in Grimaud.

Now in its fifth year in Grimaud, the ‘Rire aux étoiles’ theatre festival is back under the gazebo in Place Neuve for four evenings of open-air fun, with three professional troupes for the whole family to enjoy. An irresistible festival!

- Monday 7 July: ‘Les Mauvaises Manières’ by the CRET troupe
A sort of Bourgeois Gentilhomme in reverse, this comedy takes us on a journey of laughter and fantasy. We follow the adventures of a couple of social misfits, penniless, miserable and uneducated, who are constantly tearing each other apart, suffering from being at the bottom of the social ladder. One evening, the wife has a surprising encounter that will change the course of her life as a couple, for better or worse, or vice versa.

- Tuesday 8 July: ‘A table !’ by Théâtre du Grain de sable
Interactive improvised play
Also known as ‘Long Form’, this improvised play takes place in a restaurant, with the actors serving ‘the dishes’ according to the audience's menu choices. A real challenge for the actors, and a great moment of humour for the audience.

Should you stay sober in all circumstances?
Matthieu Jolibert has made a big resolution. This year, he's going to take it easy at the aperitif, because when he sees the number of empty bottles in his glass bin, he realises that he's letting himself go a bit too much... So at the start of the new year, Matthieu decided to do the Dry January. A whole month without alcohol to recharge his batteries. His decision was made, and it was irrevocable. Which makes Salomé, his wife, smile, as she has no intention of depriving herself of anything. Especially as tonight they are invited to Francky's, Salomé's best friend, who wants to introduce them to his new conquest, Natacha. The atmosphere promises to be festive and... Drunk. And as alcohol often brings out the truth, it's sure to be a lively evening...
