Exposition par Eva Vorfeld to Ramatuelle (Var, France)
Cultural ( Exhibition )From Monday 27 July to Wednesday 12 August 2026
Eva Vorfeld studied in the Netherlands at the art academies in The Hague and Groningen, where she met her mentor, Matthijs Röling.
Upon completing her studies, she was awarded the Unilever Prize.
Her works are included in corporate and private collections throughout Europe.
For a long time, she devoted herself to working with pastels, then ink and walnut stain. Today, she alternates between various techniques, such as watercolor, charcoal, and red chalk.
Her artistic exploration ranges from monochromatic studies to a more colorful palette.
She follows her instincts and wandering gaze, moving from the world of theater to that of childhood, portraiture, or the study of the nude.
Straddling tradition and modernity, and balancing respect for craftsmanship with experimentation, she constructs a dreamlike vision.
She also observes the female figure as an embodiment of quiet sensuality, where the presence of plants or animals adds its own layer of symbolism and myth.
She is particularly drawn to the human figure, where the possibilities for interpretation are vast, spanning psychology, aesthetics, and poetry.
