A violin and cello concert featuring short pieces by Johann Sebastian Bach, interspersed with stories about his life told by the performers, all of whom are members of the Toulon-Var Chamber Orchestra

On violin, Sylvie BONET, concertmaster of the Toulon Opera Orchestra; and on cello, Manuel CARTIGNY, principal cellist of the Toulon Opera Orchestra.
Sylvie BONET pursued her advanced musical studies at the Conservatoire National de Région de Versailles. There, she earned three Gold Medals and then two Advanced Performance Awards in music theory, violin, and chamber music.
She began teaching at music schools at a very early age and was appointed an assistant at the Versailles CNR in 1994; the following year, she earned her State Diploma as a violin teacher. She was granted tenure in this position in 1996.
Passionate about chamber and orchestral music, she explored all ensemble formats during this period—from sonatas to sextets—and performed regularly with various orchestras until she joined the Toulon Opera.
As concertmaster of the Toulon and Var Chamber Orchestra, a member of the Giono Trio and the Con Fuoco Quartet, she has been a full-time violinist with the Toulon-Provence-Méditerranée Opera Orchestra since January 2000.
