Forty years old—the age of maturity… Really?! To my four-year-old daughter, who asked me, “Mom, what does it mean to be a woman?” I should have answered, “I don’t know!” That would have been more honest…

But you know how women are… We just have to embellish things… So I turned it into a show!

In four years, I’ve gone from being a “party-loving single woman in Paris” to a “married mother living in the Ardèche”—enough to shake up my assumptions and make me question these new roles as a woman!
But here’s the thing: in four years, not only has MY world changed, but THE world has changed!
The #MeToo movement has gained momentum, Greta Thunberg has shaken up our environmental consciousness, Benjamin Griveaux has made us blush, freedom of speech has certainly been shaken up, scooters have invaded Paris, and, to top it all off, a pandemic has shut us down for good! And all of this before Russian bombs came along to cast a shadow over the picture… Meanwhile, in my peaceful Ardèche, with my little girl by my side, I’ve had time to reflect on my feminism, the environment, religion, well-being, education, social media, and politics—and I have to admit that, at the ripe old age of 40, I found myself completely lost!

“Be Yourself, Woman!” was born: a theatrical stand-up show that juggles different styles of humor. An irreverent show that deflates political correctness, helps women let go of their inhibitions, and paints a biting, modern portrait of our times!
