What if a simple walk on the beach could help us better understand and preserve the Mediterranean coastline?

Come explore Pampelonne Beach and get started with Biolit, a citizen science program that invites everyone to observe and better understand the natural riches of the coastline.
Accompanied by a science guide, you’ll learn to identify the intertidal zone—the collection of natural elements deposited by the waves (Posidonia leaves, shells, driftwood, and more). Although often overlooked, it plays an essential role in the functioning of beaches, protecting the coastline from erosion, and supporting remarkable biodiversity.
Throughout the walk, you’ll discover how to make observations as part of the Biolit program and how everyone can, in their own way, contribute to a better understanding of these natural environments.
A fun experience that offers a fresh perspective on Pampelonne Beach and reveals that the coast’s treasures are sometimes hidden where you least expect them.

Meeting point: in front of Le Migon restaurant, Pampelonne Beach, 1915 Route de Bonne Terrasse, 83350 Ramatuelle. - GPS: 43.210827, 6.664585.
Route: easy walk along the beach (less than 1 km). Duration: 2 hours

What to bring: shoes suitable for walking on sand, water, a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen (depending on weather conditions).
