The Vintage Mountain Bike Trophy is a fun and friendly ride to be completed on a single vintage mountain bike equipped with wheels no larger than 26 inches. It includes three events (XC, DH, and Trial) for those who wish to be ranked.
HIGHLIGHTS OF THE WEEKEND
Vintage Mountain Bike Ride and Trophy
The Vintage Mountain Bike Ride will take place on the magnificent trails around the Léo Lagrange Center. Each loop’s route has been designed to provide maximum riding enjoyment regardless of skill level or physical condition. An alternate route will allow riders to extend the first loop for those who want more. Finally, three events will be offered (XC, DH, and Trial) for those who want to spice up their day and be ranked. There are no aid stations along the course, and each participant must be self-sufficient in terms of water and food. The same applies to bike maintenance: you’ll need to bring your own tools to repair your mountain bike (pump, inner tube, multi-tool, chain tool, etc.) and make it back safely. You’ll have the chance to restock supplies and perform bike maintenance in the paddock during the lunch break. All participants must follow the event rules.
A colorful “Sunn” edition. Following Ferraroli in 2025, the small chrome bikes that have left such a mark on the history of our sport will take center stage. The event’s collector’s jersey will be designed by Zoobab himself, and Minimig will be joining us! Our Sunn fans are going to be thrilled!
French Hall of Fame Ceremony and Awards Ceremony
This ceremony will celebrate and induct figures who have contributed to the development of mountain biking in France. It will take place on Saturday evening starting at 9:00 p.m. in the amphitheater at the Léo Lagrange Center.
Vintage Mountain Bike Exhibition and Swap Meet
An “open” exhibition area is scheduled for Sunday morning from 9:00 AM to noon. This year, mountain bikes from the Sunn and Commencal brands will be specially featured with a dedicated display area. An “open” swap meet at the exhibition venue will allow participants to trade, buy, or sell vintage mountain bike gear. The Génération Mountain Bike association will be selling all the extra copies of VTT Magazine that we have.
Vintage Mountain Bike of the Year Awards.
All across France, collectors hunt for and restore, with love and passion, remarkable mountain bikes that have left a lasting impression—and sometimes made history. The goal of this contest is to highlight the most beautiful vintage mountain bikes and to reward those that stand out from the crowd. On this occasion, two prizes will be awarded: • the Grand Jury Prize, awarded by the experts at Génération Mountain Bike • the Special Audience Prize, determined by a vote held on-site. The results will be announced on Sunday at 11 a.m. in the exhibition area.
